V-PM PARTICIPATES IN HANDOVER OF MODERN SANITATION AND CLEANING VEHICLES DONATED BY KANSEI TO CNEFP-TIBAR

The vice Prime-Minister, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs (MCAE) and Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mr. Francisco Kalbuadi Lay, participated in the official handover ceremony of two modern high-pressure cleaning and sanitation vehicles to the National Centre for Employment and Vocational Training (CNEFP) – Tibar, donated by KANSEI Company. The ceremony featured a technical demonstration on the operation and proper utilization of the equipment, was held at the Presidential Palace, Bairro Pité, Dili, on Tuesday, July 14,2026.
The official handover ceremony was attended by His Excellency the President of the Republic, José Ramos-Horta, as part of efforts to strengthen the institutional capacity of CNEFP, particularly in the areas of maintenance, cleaning and sanitation, to ensure a hygienic, secure, and conducive training environment.
CNEFP-Tibar expressed gratitude for KANSEI Company’s support and partnership and reiterated its commitment to the responsible operation and maintenance of the equipment, to ensure sustainable benefits for the institution and the vocational training community. During the technical demonstration, the team from KANSEI Company provided a direct explanation and demonstration of the functions, operational mechanisms, safety procedures, and basic maintenance of the vehicles and sanitation equipment.
This activity plays a crucial role in ensuring that operators can use the equipment correctly, safely, and efficiently. The President of KANSEI Company, Kenzy Hasegawa, explained that “The handover of this vehicle to CNEFP is part of our effort to develop Timor-Leste through training Timorese people to enhance their skills in various professional fields, The delivery of this modern vehicle is an important step toward improving cleaning and sanitation services, particularly to support public infrastructure cleaning and maintenance services in a manner that is efficient, safe, and modern.
In His brief speech, the Vice Prime-Minister, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister of Tourism and Environment, Dato’ Seri Francisco Kalbuadi Lay, on behalf of the Government, expressed His sincere gratitude to the Government of Japan and KANSEI Company for their support in providing this modern equipment CNEFP-Tibar. Therefore, it is the Government’s commitment to continue promoting infrastructure development and improving the quality of public services, particularly in the areas of sanitation, cleaning, and environmental protect.The two modern vehicles donated by KANSEI Company to CNEFP-Tibar consist of a high-pressure water jetting truck and a vacuum sewage truck. These vehicles are used to remove sediments such as sludge, sand, and wastewater that accumulate in sewer systems, stormwater drains, and roadside gutters, thereby restoring drainage to normal operation.
