Dili, Timor-Leste – The Office of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs (MCAE) convened its Superior Monthly Meeting of Public Institutions (IP) and Public Enterprises (PE) on 27 February 2026 at the facilities of INDMO, I.P., Fatuhada, Dili.
The meeting brought together senior officials from all Public Institutions and Public Enterprises under the tutelage of MCAE with the objective of strengthening institutional coordination, ensuring strategic alignment, enhancing budgetary efficiency, and promoting transparency and good governance across the economic sector.
In his remarks, the MCAE General Coordinator, Jorge Rui de Carvalho Martins, emphasized the importance of maintaining this platform as a regular and solution-oriented forum.
“This meeting must continue to serve as a space for proposals and recommendations, and most importantly, as a place to find concrete solutions to the challenges faced by each Public Institution and Public Enterprise,” he stated.
The session provided an opportunity to evaluate institutional performance, identify key operational and strategic challenges, and reinforce inter-institutional synergy. Participants also discussed practical and measurable steps to further improve the delivery of public services and strengthen accountability mechanisms.
Through this structured monthly coordination mechanism, MCAE reaffirms its commitment to enhancing coherence in policy implementation, improving institutional performance, and ensuring that public resources are managed effectively in support of national economic development priorities.
The Superior Monthly Meeting will continue to serve as a central coordination platform to promote collaboration, efficiency, and good governance among institutions under MCAE’s leadership.
