The National Parliament has approved the 2026 General State Budget for the Office of the Vice-PM and CMEA.

The National Parliament (NP) has approved the General State Budget (GSB) for the 2026 fiscal year for the Office of the Vice-Prime Minister for Economic Affairs. The approval took place during the debate and voting session on the Draft Law Proposal (PPL) No. 23/VI (3rd) regarding the 2026 GSB, in the specialisation phase, conducted over two days and concluded on Friday, 14 November 2025.
The total submitted budget was $616,004, allocated as follows:
• Salaries and Wages: $262,231
• Recurring Goods and Services: $292,095
• Minor Capital: $61,678
Members of Parliament approved the budget with 41 votes in favour, 1 against, and 22 abstentions. This budget will fund one programme, two sub-programmes, and five activities.
In the afternoon session, Members of Parliament also approved the 2026 GSB for the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (CMEA), with a total submission of $8,874,311, distributed as follows:
• Salaries and Wages: $1,724,311
• Goods and Services: $2,000,000
• Public Transfers: $150,000
• Development Capital: $5,000,000
This budget was approved with 41 votes in favour, 2 against, and 21 abstentions. With this voting result, the 2026 GSB for CMEA is approved in the specialisation phase.
