The Coordinator General of the Office of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs (MCAE), Jorge Rui de Carvalho Martins, on 20 November 2025, accompanied by the Secretary of State for Livestock, Jos\u00e9 Vieira de Ara\u00fajo, the President of ATTL, the Vice President of BFETL, the Chief of Staff of the General Staff F-FDTL, the Ambassador of the European Union, representatives of the Cam\u00f5es Institute, and the Director of CNEFP\u2013Tibar, presided over the closing ceremony of the vocational training program at the National Center for Employment and Vocational Training (CNEFP), Tibar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of 105 trainees successfully completed their courses and received certification in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
General Construction Level II
Masonry Level III
Electrical Level III
Welding Level III
Plumbing Level III
Hospitality Levels I & II
Agriculture Levels I & II
Livestock Level III
Community and Cultural Tourism Technician Level III<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his remarks, the Coordinator General expressed profound appreciation for the achievements of the trainees and highlighted the importance of skills development for national growth:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am honored to speak today on the importance of vocational and technical training for Timor-Leste’s workforce and its integration into the ASEAN regional labor market. Vocational training is a key tool to prepare our young men and women to compete effectively in the regional economy. Through structured training and certification programs, we ensure that our workforce not only acquires practical skills, but also meets the standards and quality required by the ASEAN market. This is essential for individual career development and for the growth of our national economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the same ceremony, the Coordinator General also launched new training cycles for Levels I to III, which will commence shortly at CNEFP\u2013Tibar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
